NCWA Releases Latest Water Year Update

The Northern California Water Association has just released the latest water year update and outlook.

The March update includes current surface water supplies in each Northern California reservoir, details from the Northern California Coordination Task Force on how each river system is undergoing separate scenario planning, and where current allocations stand.

A reminder that all rice in California must be planted using certified seed or seed that has gone through a quality assurance program. This requirement is in place to reduce the spread of weedy rice (red rice) through the planting of contaminated seed, one of the major vectors for the pest. CCIA certifies seed for owned varieties and provides quality assurance programs for off patent varieties.
