NCWA’s Latest Water Year Update and Dry Year Impacts

The Northern California Water Association has released the latest water year update and
outlook for the Sacramento River Basin.

The update includes current surface water supplies in all Northern California reservoirs, the
latest allocations for North-of-Delta contractors including wildlife refuges, a link to weekly
updates to the State Water Board’s current curtailments, and live monitoring of groundwater
conditions.

RCPP Final Application Reminder

RCPP Final Application Reminder

The application deadline for practices through the Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) is fast approaching. To be eligible for participating in any practices this fall, producers must sign up by May 2, 2022. Applications must be submitted through Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) offices. Thiobencarb monitoring starts April 26 and ends June 28, 14 times at the four core sites. We base the monitoring on planting dates and timing of thiobencarb applications from the county agricultural commissioner offices sharing dates on the notices of intent. Some rice has been planted and treated, which will be captured with the current monitoring plan.
