LAST Chance to Vote!

Growers have until August 3 to vote on the CRC Major Amendment to increase the assessment cap. The increase is proposed in order to cover projected increases in costs for the Rice Waste Discharge Requirement (WDR) over the next nine years.

Currently, rice growers in the Sacramento Valley are covered under the Rice WDR managed by the CRC. All monitoring, reporting, and fees are paid out of the CRC budget and industry assessments. The cost equates to $1.60 per acre. Other crops in the Sacramento Valley are charged $4 per acre for their WDR.
