Thiobencarb Fourth Week of Monitoring

tractor at sunset

Memorial Day weekend typically marks the fifth week of thiobencarb monitoring with peak use and numbers exceeding the 1.5 µg/L (parts per million) performance goal. For this atypical year, the holiday marked the fourth week of monitoring with numbers at all sites except the Sacramento River location. The monitoring results recovered to acceptable levels after a rough start where the performance goal was exceeded two and three weeks into the program.

We were hoping to provide monitoring results from the May 30 sampling event. However, those samples are still running at the laboratory and will be available next week for our next e-communication.

The season is far from over with temperature variations and winds in the forecast. Please keep up the great work in demonstrating how an industry can successfully manage a water quality program.

CCIA certifies seed for owned varieties and provides quality assurance programs for off patent varieties.
